690 hard to start

Hi, I am slowly fixing up my 690 after a small crash.

I am selling the bike and have put the standard muffler back on. the bike is hard to start. I have tried the 15min idle thing. but still really hard to start cold. Warm, no issues. Any ideas? Maybe the mapping? valves?

Thanks in advance
Gil

If the mapping's been changed previously, it will need putting back to standard

Ok mapping changed.

I had the mapping changed, but was told my bike has a air sensor error. the part is only $25, anyone here think that is what might be causing some lazy starting when the cold? also the revs go up and down a bike when first started.. I should of just left the aftermarket pipe on it, it ran like a dream

Custom charges

Just thought Id let you guys know that If you do order your Rally Raid tanks and gear there will be a good chance of paying import tax when it arrives if its over $1000.
This was my second shipment of gear, The first arrived without problem as it was just on $1000. My second shipment was a lot more. I took this chance knowing I may have to pay extra. To send it in packages under $1000 would have meant Id pay more in shipping costs.
Just food for thought.

Well thats pretty much the nail in the coffin for Me. I was contemplating the Evo2 Tanks with the full fairing set up but If I have to pay over $600 in taxes,on top of the Kit price, that makes it way too expensive for this little black duck. Spewin!! Looks like its Tanks only for Me.

If you were to only buy the Evo2 Tanks and full fairing Id guess it would be around $200. I spent just under $6000 thats why I had to pay $600.

I had one once. It turned $26000.00 into $9000.00 in 12 months. Good investment.

Spent some time recently on my suspension. Much more for enduro riding, not dual sporting. Bit of re valving and changed the oil, plus the usual tinkering you do. She came up grand. Took a lot of the nervousness away from the bermed corners. Time too do the rear now.
