Bottom of the stroke is the bottom of the stoke, your extending the shaft at the top so bottom out is not and issue the bike is taller , you could modify the bump stop that would give you and An. issue

Can you measure the alloy cup on the bottom of the shock for me, the thing with two small holes in it for knocking it off to get to the dust seal?
I've shown 2 in my second photo...just wondered what the pre 2012 R models had

Quick question. Are all the feet on the set base supposed to have the rubber stand offs? The middle two feet on my '12 seat don't have em... Have I lost them or were they never there in the 1st place?

If you need spare rubbers check the standard plastic plate if not in use

Thanks Gents. Looks like 5 bucks a pop from KTM. I think I might just cut down a cork from a bottle of wine...

My seat has cracked through the plastic opening under the front of the seat where it inserts into the metal screw that holds it in place to the bike. This was my KTM comfort Gel Seat - not happy at all..

Safari tank

I'm interested as well. Safari tank on my '09 R fitted like a dream. New tank on my '13 not such a good fit. Need to go to the left about 15mm on the seat mount. The spacing at the forks was in consistent, too close one side.

I have cracked the seat pan on pretty much every dirt bike I ever had, apart from the early bikes with metal bases. Hondas were the worst. U can get a half decent plastic repair kit from auto outlets that last as good as plastic welding.
The harder u go, the quicker they crack.

Off to bed now, it's about 11.15 over here.

You would think those wankers at KTM would fix known problems by now. No wonder they have fuel pump problems.
Thought i would have a look inside while fitting the Safari tank adapter

i removed the filter

& fitted it here.
