Yes Paul. That goes some some way in explaining the vociferous defence of Mike. I PMed Boris, his loyalty is to be commended, sincerely.

I cannot possibly comment further. Me and my old bikes eh?: dreams, goals, fun, friendship, sacrifice. They are simply not worthy. My credentials are in tatters I tell ya..

Oh goodness, I thought I heard so noise in here

Thanks to all for the reading suggestions. I haven't read the Lois books but was looking for something to fill my sidecases this summer.

Boris, Ray_rev's a fine chap. Go ahead, accept that drink

Wildman, on the other hand, I one to be wary of

Loyalty Like Im a dog... hahaha

Bottom line is that Mike has been 6mounts ALONE on the road. I have been two times alone for 15days and I now how its like when "road demons" come.
Fuck loyalty ray rev, and fuck quality of the book. Thats for couch bikers

Real bikers drive 1000 miles per day, drink beer and votka in the evening and vomit in the morning.

I don't understand critics. I think that all of them have never did something by them self or they don't have talent for it.
Maybe they give ass to some editor and now they are like Greenwich in longitude.
All rides that are ridden in home country ( or 2000mile from home ) or they are shorter then 5 days by my opinion are not worth of mentioned.
Second thing is writing a book or even article for magazine.
I thing that big rides have to be saluted and show some respect to riders. Money doest mean a thing. If there a will everything is possible. Married or not, poor or rich.
If i had money like Charley or Mike I would fuck more often

There is a saying in Croatia ( direct translation )
If old woman would be a man she would had mans name...

P.S. my name is Linza, Boris is only character in the book

Maybe in the future all of our UK reports should be listed under 'commuting'...?

In fact, I will be commuting up Strata Florida at the weekend with a couple of friends....maybe some of you can PM me if you want a report or pictures.....

Real bikers are joyless alcoholics? Phew, glad I'm not one then.

Anyway, back on topic (ish). I've just started reading Dan Walsh's "These are the days that must happen to you". Excellent read (so far), much better than Lois' book (which I did enjoy). Quite an idiosyncratic writing style, but very evocative of life on the road. Highly recommended.

Red Tape & White Knuckles

I'm reading Lois's new book at present & like 'Lois on the Loose' & the lady herself, it's a gas. In fact I again spent a little time with her at the UK Horizons Unlimited Meeting this last weekend & I think that it goes without saying that she takes a humorous view of the world as indeed her husband Austin does. The pair of them are very humourous, entertaining & makes another great double act! They bring laughter & happiness to a room as indeed Charlie & Ewan entertain in there own way. I think though much of what they all say shouldn't be taken too seriously. They are entertainers after all & they aren't out to prove anything, just to live & enjoy life their way & what a way! What Lois & Austin do is very different to how E&C do things, but they all deserve respect. I say “good on all of them”... & to everyone else... “buy the books & enjoy them, I am.”
