How will deathwings work out on this ride? I have a 2gln tank with about 90mile range. Will I be able to get gas with in this range? Any Ideas how I can carry gas on me or the bike? I've found that I can usually hold about 4 oz of gas in my mouth.

I guaurantee that if you pack alcohol in the b-pack, someone will give you gas.

Isn't it mandatory to bring beer on this ride? I have room in my back pack for 1/2 gln of fuel and a six pack. Or a whole gln and no beer. I think Ill roll with a 1/2 gln of gas. Ben

YO! Ben

Right on Ben! Glad you can make it! I have deathwings too...pondering the idea of changing out my wheels for the dirt...but I'm f-ing lazy. I'm gonna go ahead and roll with the deathwings mang. It may be an interesting ride now that they're two of us!

First off, Right on Ben! Go to REI and buy a couple of 22 oz fuel bottles, OR, give your bike a quick shake down ride and come to my house in Anaheim and borrow mine.

Thanks for the offer John. But I work nights so I when my work day is starting yours is about to end. I will bring the bike to work on Friday and sneak away early for the night ride. Do you know about what time you guys leave Newcombs to the trails? I dont think I can make it at 7:30pm. But if you guys have dinner and drinks maybe you won't leave till about 9:00pm? Someone let me know. Thanks Ben

finally....you gave in and bought a plated bike. good choice too. get the springs and we can do yours as well when dhr does his.

if you need gas, i can top off my 7 gal gas tank and fill up your tank at newcomb's.

we probably leave newcomb's around 9pm, just like dr has mentioned.

to those who are not into doing dirt at night, just ride up to newcomb's and join us for dinner, and the first beer is on me.

2 moons left and we're ridin

rich, knowing your riding skill, you will be fine....just don't use the front brakes on lynx (common nOOb's mistake), or for that matter, forget you have front brakes.

On road and without any gear I run high 20's in the rear and mid 20's in the front. On road with gear I run 35-40 in the rear and 30 in the front. Offroad, well I've only used the Deathwings once in the dirt, 15 front / 20 rear.

I ran Sahara's on my bike until a few months ago. They did fine except for the sandy stuff...just have to keep the speed down a bit. Too lazy to change tire pressure too.
