Tassie overnighter , Bay of Fires , July 26/27.

Howdy all , thought I would start a separate thread for this riding/camping weekend.

So far rough plan is;

Southerners meeting at Richmond , saturday 26th at 8.30am , to leave by 9am.

The route that I was thinking of is,

Richmond - Colebrook - Rhyndaston - Stonor - Parrattah - Andover - Lemont - Below Tooms lake to M Road (M6) - Up M road to Fingal.

From Fingal we would go out Tower hill road to Mathinna , and then back dirt roads to St Helens.

Going that way is prob 65-70% dirt.

We are going to pick some times to meet with people on the way , people from the north or those from the south that don't want to do as much dirt.

Timing would be something like , Fingal 12.30 pm , Mathinna 1.30 pm , St Helens 4.00pm , we will confirm those times a bit later on.

Plan to camp out at Bay of fires area on the coast , Swimcart Beach maybe , or Dora point if the weather is not so good (bit more sheltered).

Hows that sound ?

Only 3 weeks away , can hardly wait.

Count me in for this one.

Haven't been for a ride with most of you fellas for about two years.

Hopefuully the 640 won't decide to have a hissy fit and do a warranty job on me, just like the last lot of disappearing clutch fluid.

Looking forward to doing the dirty stuff up the East Coast. Are there any pubs close to the camping location Scott????. Have to stock up on some cans.

I'll be there! :-)

Just come back from a paddle overniter, Mr J (Justin) was on it too, he reckons he'll be in.

And Soheil (non ADV, last spotted at Port Huon overniter) on his KLR seems to be keen.

Nice one.

You can stock up on drinks in St Helens before we head out to Bay of fires to camp.
