Before the pitchforks rise into the air and the torches are lit, he's got 3 days. He grabbed it on the 25th, so he's got until the 28th to post up the new one. He did it quickly enough the first time, but it was a file photo, so now he's got to get back to VA and take a new photo.

For those who haven't attended every coven meeting, the idea is that bad weather or mechanical issues are the only legit reason to take more than a day to post up a new tag, but we've had weather issues and the time limit is still in effect.

As an aside, this morning's ride was not really fun.

APPARENTLY my "waterproof boots" only keep the water IN.
So, I didn't make it back to tag my old gates, as it was pouring a WHOLE lot harder than the radar showed, and it was f'ing cold.
So along this State Line Road, is this State Line Cemetery, at this State Line Baptist Church. (Which is also apparently Concord Camp, although it's no where near Concord, Va which IS where I am from originally)

I wanted something with a shot of one of the graveyards, but it was WAY to muddy for my bike to stay upright, unless I used a tombstone for my kickstand, and I'm fairly sure that's a good way to get struck by lightning. (or at least earn negative karma)

Yah dude. Today was Pacific North West cold/wet. I couldn't believe the foggy/raining 41 degree ride into work this morning. I was like where did this weather come from? I had just gone back to riding with my summer armored leather gloves (zero insulation) and packed up my ski mask. Still had an extra layer under my mesh though. Not that I was cold, just a bit uncomfortable.

However this is in a fairly good spot from my perspective and I have yet to grab a VA TOR at night...might be a nice night for a ride....might be a nice night for a cross border foray up to the lakes region.

FYI (1): My SIDI boots are fantastic in this weather -> cost half a dime but well worth it for the protection from an accidental laydown in boulders (or sliding down the street). And keep the feet toasty and dry in temps well below what we've had this winter.

FYI (2): I liked seeing your old DR posted up in the previous tag. She's still riding great...I took her out in the last snow storm for some night tagging on the snowy icy roads. Also took her off road that night too. Need to put some aux lights on her though. The stock lights aren't cutting it. I'm considering temporarily taking the aux lights off my F8 and putting them on it so that I can grab a legitimate VA Tag with it for you....but the 606s don't make great long distance tarmac tires. Will see though.

Take it further north and tag my old college for me. Hell, it's still two hundred miles closer than the nc tag. :)

New tag - 2/28/12

Not far from the previous tag. You will hit some tar/chip road, but it's in great shape. If visibility is limited when you go, once you're inside the Park, I did notice some (not making this up) moss on the road. Didn't seem to present any sort of problem, but if it's night and/or wet when you go, be aware that it's there.

Tag pic:

for reference:

If it's locked up when you get there, although I didn't see any gates, this shot is fine. Also, here's your clue:

Me likey...especially the part about it being so little traveled that there is moss on the roads. It's all about the adventure.

Way to go WB!
