Back to the daily grind of home and work is rough after having such a great time with you guys As most of you know, I had a little off on the Jayvill out stage on Saturday. I was doing pretty good(for me anyway) and I pushed a bit hard on that last section of pavement and wadded the 690 pretty good.
I came into the last sweeper with the back wheel spinning and just stayed in it with my foot sliding on the tarmac.....One minute I was hooting like a cowboy and the next I was sliding on my back watching my bike spin into the ditch
Fortunately for me, I was able to drag the 690 across the finish line and
get a time.... I thought. Not sure what happened, but I think I freaked the timing guy out enough for him to forget what he was doing

Big thanks go out to the Jayville stage for my consolation prize......

My buddy Paul was able to compete in his first Rallymoto on a bike he bought three days before the event I warned him that drinking from the Orange trough was dangerous, but he did it anyway

We all really enjoyed our Dakar Style bivy campout. Here Kieth goes over his reciepts at the picnic table and tells Mike and Scott how much he's spent this year

Cuz Jim is always eager to ump right in and offer his help. I was getting ready to mount up, but Jimmy decided to give my face shield a quick wash..... Thanks Jim!

Another amazing thing was the fact that Hensley was so relaxed that she actually took a quick nap before the stage start...... GO GIRL indeed

Not sure if any of you guys know this, but my cousin Jimmy used his Element as our Combo radio/Sweep/ and EMT car. Jimmy was a bit unprepared for the chilly weather, so he had to raid the TG gear closet for some warm hand gear.......

After eveything was over and the awards were handed out, we retired to camp Ghetto and drank some brew and had some good cooking fire side..... As an extra bonus, Ashton Kutcher showed up and congratulated us on a great rally. Here our own Andrew Fekette explains how Rallymoto works while they both enjoy a world famous Scapaletti's Italian sausage

Ahhhhh, the after party is always the best part

Mike, me, Kieth, Mark and ????? damn I forgot his name

Scott (boatman) and BMW Bobby discuss fly paper and water wings while the sausage sizzles.....

Cuz jimmy scalding the Element on stage

Hey doug, is this the mug you found?

After seeing the video in real time it almost seems ridiculous that it happened. I must have been dragging the front brake and thats why I was launched when the front tire hit the ground first. I couldn't really tell if the break light was on.

It definitely sounds like you chopped the throttle off, and it seems like you leaned forward at the same time. Cant tell about the brake light, either. I dont think I've ever gotten air, so its hard for me to judge

Judging by the amount your front tire dug into the dirt on the 3rd picture and all the spray/debris being scattered behind it, I'd say it's a sure bet brake was applied in addition to having a less them optimal pitch coming over the crest.

yeah the video makes it look like you shouldn't have crashed. It looks like that front brake was on when the wheel came down.
