Our waiter was such a good sport! Lee lulled him in by telling him there may be 4 or 6 folks & then he's got more motorcyclists than table space & chairs. :-)

Great to see all of you! We really miss you when we're gone!

any of you FF's have a lockable gun case that would hold a tactical shotgun that I could borrow this comming weekend? We'll be riding up to central IL for some family stuff and would rather lock away the shotgun than ride with it over my shoulders.

I have a hard plastic case that you are welcome to borrow, but it doesn't lock.

I have a plastic case that you can put a pad lock on. Not the most robust case, but you're welcome to it. A lock is a good idea if traveling through IL. The cops don't like guns up there, and the less accessible it is the better

Anyone (Bill? Denny?) have a Suzuki swingarm tool? I'm planning to pull my swingarm to replace the chain, check the bearings, and replace the chain buffer, but I need a special tool to loosen the locknut. From what I can tell it's the same part on the V-Strom, SV, Hyabusa, and perhaps other Suzuki models. Hell, it might be the same as Kawasaki.

If you get one, then I'll know who to borrow one from...

thanks for the shotgun case offers, guys. I've decided to ride my Aprilia up, not the 1150GS, so there's no good tie-down places so we'll just take the hand canons.

Why you need one of those? Isn't that why the tool box has a BFH and a punch? Thats how I got that same style nut off the rear wheel on my truck last week. I'm just saying.......If you are gonna be cheap, then go all out!

I'm pretty sure he was referring to my engineering tendencies. A punch would work, but I had my fill of that trying to get the fuel pump out of my car. 45 minutes laying in the trunk of my car banging on the back end of a punch.

Also kind of hard to properly torque a nut with a hammer.

I may try making one, or I may end up using a hammer and a punch. There doesn't seem to be any of the proper tools locally available to use for a day.

tell me the distances between the wholes. It looks like a Honda bearing tool I have in the garage.

This is what I use on my honda swingarm. Dont know if it will
work for your purpose but I suspect it may.
Its not a perfect fit, I have to hold it in place but it works.
