in a easy to see color(red/blue) and I usually just follow the big
arrow on the compass/speed page (as its the biggest symbol on a
lil gps screen) and switch back to the map page when needed.
My eyes arent the best so tryin to read a map while bouncin down
a gravel road is a no go.
You'll get it, good luck.

I think the custom route showed up in purple. It may have been created as a track though. I saw some flags along part of the route. My previous tracks showed up on the same screen, at least I think they were previous tracks, confusing the issue. Thanks for the vote of confidence. Glad the GSA has a big gas tank!

Tim,
You still up for a pre-ride to Boyette's? I'll ride the R1100S the k bike is in for fuel cell, and HID stuff for the Cape Fear Rally. Got to do it soon, Saturday will be here before you know it.
Ride Safe,
Robert

High Friday 65, Sat. 70, Sunday 71. Anyone is a good day for a ride.

Gravel or pavement, I am ready to go.

Boyette's would be great with a start through Fayette county to Brownsville, on to Dyersburg, and on to Tiptonville.

Take the Great River road home.

When and who?

RTE April 6 to Tiptonville

For any of the Memphis riders that are interested. All are welcome.
Ride Safe,
Robert

Here you go a RTE in West TN. I would also like to be contacted so I'll know how big a room to reserve?
Boyettte's Restaurant in Tiptonville, TN, 12:pm-2:00pm Saturday April 6, 2013, please contact me (CaptRehkopf@gmail.com) so I can reserve a proper size room.
This ride is scheduled at the same time as the Bald Eagles' baby eaglets should be about two to three weeks old. The Ranger Station across the highway has had camera's on their nesting sites. So, if the Eagles cooperate and nest where the camera's are then you can see these magnificent birds close up. Additionally, the Ranger Station has other live examples of wildlife including two Bald Eagles that are injured and can't hunt for themselves, so you'll see Eagles regardless. http://www.tn.gov/environment/tn_consv/archive/eagles.htm
Boyette's serves family style and is described below:
Since 1921 Boyette's has been one of west Tennessee's top restaurants. People from all over a four state area make the drive every week to experience the true flavor of the south. Just make sure you're hungry, because their specialty is serving up generous portions of Catfish, Country Ham, Fried Chicken and more. Put it together with some homemade hushpuppies, onion rings and country vegetables and it's not just a meal it's an experience. http://www.reelfoot.com/boyettes/index.htm
Additionally, I will eat breakfast at Bryant's in Memphis TN (7:00am-8:00am) http://www.bryantsmemphis.com and ride the 180 mile Mississippi River Trail (MRT) to Tiptonville http://www.imtrails.com/mrtsouthern. I have gpx files of the TN MRT if you need them.

Hi Robert, I'm ready anytime. Saturday and Sunday I'm catching up on duties delayed by the funeral trip. I did get back a bit sooner than expected so that helps. One day this week? Call me to set up a meeting time and place.

Cool2

Boyettes? I'm down with that. I haven't eaten there for a couple of years. Great place. So is The Lakeview down on the curve. I think I'll show up and meet some of the inmates.

I got to see the Rangers release a rehabilitated Bald Eagle 3 or 4 years ago behind the Visitor Center. We got lucky and rolled in about an hour before the release, so we waited for it. Genuine warm and fuzzy feelings all around.

Of course, I'll have to have a few things on the "Honey-do" list knocked out by then if I want a few hours of freedom. I'll work on that.....

Gotta go fill the bird feeders right now. Funny....they double as cat feeders.
