Big shout out to Malibu Dan... Dan falls firmly into the category of "as nice of a guy as you could hope to meet" and was immensely helpful tonight as I spent about two hours in his driveway gingerly trying to coax my new tubes and tires into place. He's a great guy to work with-- patient and methodical but not afraid to um, "put some muscle into it" when needed. Mission accomplished with no mishaps along the way. Thanks again, Dan... :

So now that I'm properly shod, bring on the fun!! If anyone is up for an early evening ride (preferably wrapping up at an eatery) Tuesday or Wednesday night this week, let me know. The weather tonight was perfect-- too bad I didn't get the project buttoned up until about 9pm...

Am I the only one laughing so hard I am crying? He said Dan isn't afraid to grip it and rip it!

I take it you're not a golfer...

I'll go back and change it to something less......................double entendre-y, just because I wouldn't want to besmirch Dan's good name... :)

Oh, I dunno. I think "grip it and rip it" sounds better than "put some muscle into it'. With this group, it always winds up in the gutter--their minds need to go where their bodies lie.

Yeah, in retrospect, that's not much better, is it? Oh well.

Also, not sure if you saw my text, but the spacer I thought I was missing was actually part of the axle so all is good. It was just a very different looking design than the front. Thanks again!! :

I'm back in town from Colorado and my bike out of the shop for gas tank replacement. I'd be interested in another dinner meet but can't do anything this Thursday night. Maybe another night.

Somebody call a night next week. Mon-Weds is generally better for me, but I can make anything work with some advance notice.
