There is a guy on the square in Collierville that has Benelli, KTM, and I think Gas Gas or TM, maybe he is getting Guzzi too.

Which place in Collierville are you talking about?
The only other xr650r(motarded) I've ever seen around memphis was coming up 55N about 2 months ago doin 85mph on the highway
He pulled off into southaven headin east.
I asked my buddy who was drivin(truck) to catch up but, he
didnt want to get a ticket.

So,do tell,where is this mysterious buddy with the(motarded?) 650R?
Where does he ride? Did his beloved honda blow up?
Does he know he has xr kin residing near coldwater?

Tony,

It is not a motard. It is plated for street and we ride quite a bit. Well that was until it died. Sad story actually, he was on his way out to my house in Somerville to do an oil change. It must have been a little low on oil and he rapped it out in top gear and boom! It is now getting built at Fletcher's. It is getting cam, valves, head work the whole nine yards.

He lives in east Memphis and I actually did tell him that he has a "XR Brother". He was pretty stoked! He doesn't frequent this site, but he does hang on TT a lot. His log-in is J_T.

He should have it back soon. We are gonna break it in before doing the TN section of the TAT the first weekend in Oct. So maybe we can get together and do a ride!

Josh

That's very disheartening that my brothers bike had a heart attack.
Is he getting it bumped up to a (680?) or keeping it stock?
So, if that motard wasnt his then...........theres more kin
around here!!!!! We are halfway to a family reunion!

I don't know about MS but in TN you only need 2 for a family reunion! LOL He is getting it bumped up to 680, and all the other goodies that go with it! I can't wait to get to ride it. Hopefully soon.

"My Favorite Place" is tomorrow night.

"Bike Night" might not be completely rained out, it's clearing up Downtown, but I'm sure attendance will be down signficantly.

I forgot to mention that I had went to the Bass Pro shop while I was in Memphis a couple of weeks ago, and I saw a beautiful white BMW parked next to us when we came out of the store. Belong to anyone here?

Low turnout. What happened to everyone?

Food was great. I don't know why I didn't get pics... fantastic presentation. if a bit expensive.

What I did get pics of was the aftermath. Ol' X left the lights on his SUV ( ) on.

Attempt number one:

Attempt number two:

When my friend and I geared up to ride--you know, ride my motorcycle--home, AAA was on the way. Hope it all turned out ok.

G, glad I got to meet you after all these months.

Jamie

AAA had to hook two batteries up to her to get her to turn over. Put the charger on her when I got home and there was a red "trouble" light on when I went out to go to work this morning. Looks like I'm gonna need a new battery.

The reason the battery's dead is I don't drive my truck far enough (Less than 3 miles a day) to charge the battery back to full after I start it. When I really have anywhere to go, I ride -- you know, my motorcycle -- so often that it looks like I'm going to have to keep a battery tender on my truck to keep the battery topped off.

Nice to meet you last night as well.
