I dont think you would want to cc ski into there.

Most people snow shoe in but conditions were so good we just hiked.
You park right at the trail head on the SW side of the road (HY26) just before Government Camp.

If you want to take the longer trip, after the lake you can head up to the top of Tom Dick and Harry Mt.
It sits just West of the lake and is an extra 1 1/2 mile up, making the whole trip a total of 6 miles with 1,700 ft elevation gain.

We hit the top at 2 pm on Sun and it was like summer up there.
Great views and well worth the extra effort
