Thumbs down I'm an idiot and I should take up knitting

I had one of those Mondays where one irritant came along after another. Good day for a good ride home - perfect weather. I'll just enjoy myself and forget I have a job...
Then some wank in an Audi ran a yield sign at a roundabout at about 50 and nearly took me out. Usually when somebody screws up, I just chuckle and think oh well, I've seen that a million times, but yesterday, I FLIPPED OUT. He knew he screwed up and he took off, with stupid me chasing him, following way too close with the brights on, hugging the double yellow to beam him in the mirror (it was still sunny out - duh).
Then we came to where he wanted to turn left, but sorry a-hole, it's under construction, so he just stopped in the wrong lane, and when I pulled alongside, he had this look of terror on his face. He didn't realize that he could've kicked my head in seeing as I'm 5' nothing and a total puss.
I yelled something like learn how to yield prick and then I just nailed it, full racetrack mode, banging through the gears and dragging my peg around the next (blind) bend. I remember seeing a construction guy with a sign that said "SLOW". Wow. I get the knob of the week award.
So, I chased down a guy who could have brake checked me into the ditch or stopped and wailed on my melon, and I sprayed his car with gravel with my back tire (I forgot that part) and then I blasted through a construction zone.
Holy balls I can't believe I got away with that or that I'm even admitting it. It's like somebody else was driving. I haven't acted that way in years, and it didn't feel good.
I pulled into my driveway and looked at my bike. "Craigslist" I thought. Then I thought some more, and I decided no, I'm going to ride to work every day even if it thunderstorms out and I'm going to act like a human and prove that I can do this thing right.
Flame away, I deserve it.

I think a cross-reference to the "Don't ride while angry" thread is appropriate.

We've all done things we've realized later (or even in the moment) that are dumb, dangerous and just plain idiotic. But, you realized what you did was stupid, so you just have to take our ribbing and buy the next round. Don't do it again.

Did the same thing a few weeks ago. Some guy didn't like my headlight modulator, he high beams my 6 or 7 times and then gives me the ADV salute as he goes by. No idea why I flipped. Cut a U turn and chased him 12 blocks. He was driving a Mazda RX8. It's fast. The DL 1000 is faster. I let him go after 12 blocks when I came to my senses. Why did I do it? I don't know, bad day, not enough sleep, problems at home. None are good enough reasons. Most of us are guilty of this kind of thing. Best we can do is learn from it and try to behave more like humans next time.

Yesterday was my anger day, too. I was following a dude at the speed limit of 40mph. I could see what was about to transpire through his rear window. The driver shifts around to get something out of his front right pant pocket, sticks his leg straight out, into the brake. He locks up the brakes almost to a complete stop. I have room to easily stop, but the guy behind me almost takes me out because I have no where to go except into incoming traffic or into the curb. When the guy in front finally pulled his foot off the brake and his head out of his ass, I was right on his tail. Man, I wanted to yell and scream at that asshole. Within a block it dawned on me that maybe following this guy closely at speed was not a very good idea!!

+1 on what Monsignore said. You won’t get too many serious flames because we have all been there.

Everybody gets pushed over the edge once in awhile, though it is probably a lot safer to have happen when you are on your Stella rather than your busa'

That "that's just not me" feeling

OK, here's an off the wall thought.

Next time you're at the Dr's office, ask them to do a blood sugar test. People get irritable if blood sugar drops too low. Sometimes you don't even get a hungry feeling. You just get cranky, impatient.

Just sayin'....

Been there....Done That! Taken off more than 1 mirror, kicked in more than 1 quarter panel, punched more than 1 window, chased wayyy more than 1 asshole.
I'm older and........well older now. Now what I like to do pull next to them, lift up me shield and with a big smile and a wave say, "THANK YOU! THANK YOU VERY MUCH, THAT WAS VERY NICE!", and then look at the stupid look on their face as they smile and wave back wondering...........WTF???????
Just got to watch that you keep yourself out of the "danger zone" where they can take you out in a heart-beat and take off if there isn't someone else around to witness it. Yeah, they were wrong and you were right..........but your still laying there all fucked up.

My best revenge

I was run off a narrow two lane by a water truck passing another car up hill, forunately I was in my Truck, ditch was clean, no damage, just a laundry bill.

Turned around water truck has one of those how is my driving call 800 tags and the truck number. I called it.

This was the truck and driver that supplied bottled water where I work. Waited for his normal Wed delivery, and it was a new guy. They fired the other guy. Seems I was not the only one to complain.

Hey, this is a very cool sentence. I am imagining a big block of concrete that everyone is born with. Parents, friends, even you can add more concrete to the block. You can also spend your time chipping away at it. The more you chip away, the more you can see of the world... Thanks! Kinda blew my mind this morning.
