My advice is don't go Zyban, turns lovely people evil and psychotic. Plus you only get one go.

Champix you have 2, up to 24 weeks.

Seeing as you are on the portly side take up some exercise lest you get portlier. Shannon running 8 km a day to counter the 6 packets of timtams consumed.

And are you coming next Friday? Need to confirm bookings.
both champrix and zyban can "send nice people evil and psychotic", but it's fairly rare and compared to the dangers of smoking, well make up your own mind. Both have their role and have a better success rate than cold turkey etc. so consider them if you can't do it alone.

With zyban you also get a second script . So talk it over with your GP.

good luck guys.

Oh yeah, if you're going to put the money in the jar then go one step further- you have to burn it to have another smoke. One $50 bill at at time....

be the best present you ever give yourself. Good luck, the alternative may not be real good

When i quit i was at a pouch of tobacco every 1.5 days, i tried Zyban and that increased it to a pouch a day, so no i don't think pills are the go. To successfully quit i think its a state of mind, you have to want to, not just join a passing fad, because i can assure you, if you go cold turkey and later start again that hook gets driven in even deeper making it that much harder to quit. Convince yourself totally that its what you have to do, and you'll be ok.
By the way, after all this time i still miss it but could never do it again. I don't regret my 25 years of smoking for a moment, it was a useful little crutch in hard times, and i do believe it helps you to focus more clearly on things, maybe increases brain activity(?)

Oh and no it doesn't smell better than pussy, although the smell of cordite comes close .

the only time I smoke

F*ck guys, the only time I smoke now is when I'm away on my bike, the two go together for me. No smoking in the car, at home, work or anywhere else. Two baby girls a gorgeous wife and all that are motivation enough. BUT WHEN I GO FOR A RIDE FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS, I WANNA BE A KID/REBEL/SELF HARMING F*CKWIT, NOW YOU'RE SPOILING IT ALL BY TEMPTING ME TO GIVE UP ALTOGETHER!

I may need some help but I don't do pills without smiley faces or superheroes on them

each to their own but in my experience cold turkey was the best way to go. if you fail (and you will), try again and again until you succeed. it's worth it. i eventually quit after several attempts 5 yrs ago. in the end it came down to resisting the temptation to have just ONE cigarette. try not to think about the long term picture too much, just focus on beating each craving. they become weaker and less prevalent over time.

my 2c.

i wish you guys the best in your quest for a longer healthier happier life
