I feel like quitting now, mouth tastes like a toilet, coughing up all sorts of crap from the flu but still feel like a smoke - but since I still have some in the packet......

And if I don't do it now - when will I????
I'm in ... strategy.... Roll a herbal one first, grab a bottle of Stones from the shelf and chainsmoke till there all gone then go to bed.

Giving up

I've never smoked and never even tried it. Even though my parents were both heavy smokers, it never appealed to me.
After I met my wife, I found other interesting things to keep me occupied. Enough said.
I obviously won't be giving up smoking with you but I'll give you support.
I'll be watching this space for reports.

Giving up.

You’ll have to agree that every year life gets better.
Think of all the good things that happened in the last five years. The next five years will be even better.
You wouldn’t give up the good times of the five years that just passed, so why risk giving away any of the better ones that you are yet to live?

Gday all,
Ive made it through my second day and it was alot better than yesterday.Dont get me wrong,if some meat head cuts me off in traffic there is going to be some action until such time as i have to say to him, just stay there till i grab another chewy out of me pocket cause im having a major craving for a smoke. But as some one wise in this thread said, just work on getting through each craving and she be right.Every thing tastes crap at the moment, even my coffee so thats probly a good thing cause when i used to have a coffee i had the fags too.Hows me other quiters going, hope yas are all coping ok.Give us an update on ya progress if ya havnt cut ya wrists yet.

One day almost over. Spent all day driving and fishing so that helped but I'm not too good to live with right now. BUT, I made it without a smoke, and now I'm too tired and lazy to go out and buy any. Tomorrow will be hard.

Way to go aus cruiser, the temptation to light up a durrie can realy play on the mind, most of the day its easy to deal with but i had a few beers with the fellas after work, everyone was smoking and drinking and I had to leave before I caved in.

Easy way to quit is to think only about the vast profits that tobacco companies make out of poor mugs like yourself. I don't smoke.

Well, we're in front against the Boks Not sure it's going to last though.
I'm going ok too so far. Jumpy, jittery a bit snappy. Two days...just taking it an hour at a time still though. Long way to go.
