I have the zumo 550 and love it. Use it on both my bikes and my truck. It is a great device.

Not quite, there's a whole host of upgrades to the 2720 that Garmin performs on them.. I don't have the list of upgrades handy, but I can assure you it's not just a rebadged 2720. Even the touch screen is built to a different standard and can withstand a splash of gasoline.

I'm currently using the Zumo 550.. it's fabulous!

I want my gps to help me find my way around first off all in europe (since I live here ) and at the same time a gps that doesn't care about the weather conditions and is easy to use... I guess that is what most people want out off their gps

For my car I have a Tomtom GO 910 which I think is great problem is I cant use on my bike. So I am looking for at bike gps

THe voice of reason speaks

For the record I run a 2610 and a 2820 on my bike. the Missus runs a 2610 on her FJR

The screen on the 2820 is much better than on the 2610. If i didn't want the bluetooth I would have bought a 478 for the better screen

Gadget might be right about software upgrades.
But you will find any upgrade you will ewer need on the web...
It is some xtra buttons on the bmw holder, but it's not lockable
(I use TT)
If you realy manage to splash gasoline on the unit that is fitted over the dash, your'e either stupid, or upside down
The 2720 is a very good GPS, but it's out of date now (No bluetooth is one thing)
So, if your'e going to spend good money on a NEW motorcycle GPS.
Then i will recomand the Zumo series or Tom Tom rider.
If your'e going for a used GPS i will recomand Tom Tom rider or Garmin 2720/2820.
Just stay away from any unit that has a hard disk memory.
(I don't remember if the 2820 has a hard disk, or it was only a bluetooth option that was new from the 2720)
Just be shure that if you are buing a used unit that the maps are upgraded, (but then again, you'l find anything on the web )

I use a TomTom Rider Europe. Had some trouble with the mount at the beginning. I added a special mount from Wunderlich. Now everything works just fine.

What I use it for? Navigation!

Esspecially for tours, which I copy from my tour planning software to the TomTom.

Better and saver then always looking at your maps.

Best
