What bike, what tires, what tire pressure, what type riding? I'd love to get 10k out of any tire.

on my previous street bike, i used to get 20kmi out of the rear and 40kmi out of the front.

that was a Metzler Metronic on the front and Laser on the front... worked great except for the shitty "Laser Comp K" one shop stuck ont there... that handled like shit on the street, so i had to ditch it and replace it with the standard version. this was before the internet, so i was just out a tire... i'm sure someone at the shop kept it and put it on their Gixer or somfin'.

i'm always amazed that many years later, people talk about "high mileage touring tires" and say they get 10kmi out of a Tourance or Anakee.

the second version of the same model of street bike will probably get ZX6s like the OP is running. got a lot of work to do to the old Katana 600 first tho.

+1 !!
My new tires are keeping the roads safe, as I always seem to find the nails.

Road side repair with Stop-N-Go. Later replace with a plug patch.
Now with 3K + w/ no problems.
A shot of a previous tire w/ plug patch

These are the best!!

A few months ago, my new 12GS had picked up a nail, a fast leak as my tire sensor was reporting about 1 PSI loss per 10 minutes. Filled it up at a few gas stations on the way home but made it. Took wheel/tire to BMW shop. it was a 4 or 5 inch nail thru, tore the inner wall beyond the 1/4 inch limit. I bought a new tire-- $180 will still be in the bank when I am dead will not mean much to me, plus the shop had the tire off already. If I was on a trip I would plug it with the rope and go tho!

I'd stay below 80 on plugged tires tho.

Yeah cause wrecking at 79 or 81 is going to be the saving grace jk

I'd run a plug/patch all day long car, truck or bike. Plugs only tend to make me nervous, but that's just me I guess. I have ran plugs in cars for quite a while, but on a bike it would be in the back of my head all the ride.
