hmm sadly at 16 kgs over thats an extra 20% body weight your carrying so yup thats obese

when I was 93kg I had a body fat % of 28.5, anything over 25% is obese and not healthy at all if you want to make sure you get to 80

whats the measure for the comp then ??

I think it should be either

A) % start weight lost (easy to measure)

or better still from a health point of view

B) % body fat dropped

couple of years ago I went into a corporate walking comp, most km's walked in 6 months got a free trip to Bali, it dropped kg's big time off the office total.

I have found that they work really well....when you are on them. I have used prescription suppressants with great success, but unless you change your eating habits after you come off of them, the weight just comes back.

Sadly no. There is Xenical which stops you absorbing fat in the first place but there are a few things which sets this back.
1) it costs a fortune (nearly $120 for a months supply)
2) Gives you the runs
3) stops absorbing fat your eating... better and cheaper fix would be not eating the fatty food in the first place.

A good appetite surpressent is Coffee.
When i was younger and thinner I found a good way to keep your hunger down was to munch on some lettuce or carrots. Full of fibre which is good for you and fills you up quite well.

If you want to see just how much you don't need to be eating try this. Buy a mars bar. Now eat the mars bar extremely slowly but constantly. As though you were eating it over about 10 mins. About halfway through it you (should) be extremely full. What is designed to be a quick snack just turned into a disgustingly rich meal.

THE BIGGEST ADV LOSER
Not Obese just a fat bastard. (I am 175cm and 90 KG so it takes one to know one) I too would be much happier at 75kg so 15kg overweight. I think the OCR should sort out at least 5kg .

Appetite suppresants (Reductil) were bloody useless. First lot I tried did nothing, the doc doubled the dosage, again nothing. These bloody prescription pills cost $90, lasted for one month and had no effect, maybe I am just a hungry boy???. All they managed to do was cost a lot. Went off the pills, walked a little more each day, and the weight starts to drop - whoo hoo. Hopefully riding down from Cape York to Cairns will shed a little more.

Cheers

I have two lovely large tapeworms in my gullet. Why exercise and diet?

I find the old finger assist does wonders as well.

i lost 20kg in 4 months on tony fergersons shake diet which is only good if you dont have too many health problems the best thing it done for me is got me used to making healthy choices and now its working to keep the weight down but i need to lose another 20kgs to be healthy. i was walking 1 hour a day in the morning with the dogs everyday minimum should be 45 minutes as of tomorrow im back on the diet i know this time its going to take longer but least i know it was working for me. iu would see a doctor before any diet if you have high BP or and other things that can cause problems though..
