Do I have to look at repacking this exhaust? only 700 miles on it at the time.

Looks like you could use some:

Or some bacon and eggs!

That's running way too hot. What's the rest of the pipe look like?
Maybe some dyno time to get a proper map is in order.

I have the same set-up as Kirkster. I am not riding except to the dealer for a re-map (13 miles). I hope that will help avoid any way high exhaust temps.

Thanks for the Q4 fitting tips Kirkster.

So I'm going to get a slip on for my 2011 Enduro R.
Looking at what is for sale on fleabay, the FMF Q4's seem to all be for 2008 - 2010 models.
I emailed the seller and they say it wont fit the 2011 R model.
Anyone know if there is actually any difference between the years?

Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul,

Generaly there should be no diferences for models till 2012, i have 2011 and i have installed Wings, its the same from 2008-2012,,, so most probably Fmf will suit you. Ther was no changing in pipes or exhaust from 2008.

Regards
Milos

I heard the Leo close - too loud, but cheap.
I have installed WINGS and i like it very much , its looks same like AKRAP but more nicer because of the orange Wings signs, Plus its affordable , its extra quality, titanium +carbon, its lighter then stock and no more burns from heat
Price is good and I will go definitively for WINGS, its good product!
On my previous bike I had LV and not so cetisfied with sound, look and quality,,,,comparing to wings its 1-2 levels below

Thats my opinion.

G'day I swapped my Leo Vince from my 2010 to my new 2012 and fits fine. So I think other brands would be the same..

As far as the sound goes I would say it sounds nearly identical to my 525 EXC's with stock exhaust. Bike ran good before swap, no lean stalls or popping. Runs the same now, no issues. Did the battery disconnect during install, 15 minute idle after installation, then the throttle position reset. Runs perfect, no remap. My goal was less weight and less heat with minimal noise increase and no remapping. I would say it meant my goals 100%
ive got the same fmf coming this wk,can i ask why you would disconnect the battery? and do you have to do the throttle reset,i was just going to fit it like any other slip on (with out disconnecting the battery) and let it idle for 15mins

thanks mickd

here's mine, gsxr can, quiet, light, less heat and it only cost me fifty bucks
i had a wings slip on,but it blew a hole in the side where the wings is riveted and it was to loud and needed repacking.
feels the same power wise to the wings but so much quieter, slightly louder than stock, which is a big thing for me.

well i had the can earmarked for my dr,but i thought what a waste plus i needed a muffler and wasn't keen on the standard boat anchor.
i have since played with the fueling and run 100% with the trottle stepper motor on performance mode, and i'm i love with 'er again. no more snatchyness @ low throttle.feels like a good carb'ed motor
