Does FMF powercore works with akrapovic mapping?

TNX!
Don't forget to check out the Wings which takes the Akra map very well:

After mounting FMF powercore 4 on 690R 2012 owner needs to do this:

1. Throttle calibration
2. Idle reset procedure
http://www.monomaniacs.nl/tnt/KTM-69...hrottle-issues
3. 2nd and 3rd gear restriction
www.monomaniacs.nl/tnt/KTM-690/2nd-and-3rd-g2nd and 3rd gear restrictionear-restriction
4. SAS removal
http://www.advrider.com/forums/showp...97&postcount=8
5. Mapping

is that it?

I don't believe anywhere or at anytime. Titanium, carbon fiber, quality construction and still about half of the Akra price. These guys are easy to deal with and received mine in about a week:

This one has a Cat in it which is the main reason to get rid of the OEM one.

Order it straight off of the Wings website.

I had mine for the new 690 with the CF end cap in less than 2 weeks from half way across the globe.

Too many folks have bought from Wings with zero problems to be skittish over the transaction.

While I can't compare the 2 directly, I can vouch for the LV being loud and obnoxious. Still rockin' it though... I might weld a 45* turn down onto the outlet when I pull it apart for a repack. I know that FMF sells a 94db "quiet" insert that is spark arrested for about $35 if that helps your decision.

At the risk of sounding a little chintzy, has anyone tried one of the stock cans from a 990 or 1100 on a 690? Don't really know about fit, but no catalytic converter, appears at least to be about the right size, etc. Surely there would be some available used from some of the guys who've gone to Akra's, Leo's, or Wings?

I might be willing to try that if someone has one they'd like to sell.

That's a good point. I don't know, but those cans look a bit small to have catalytic converters in them. Does anyone know? I just liked the looks of them since they are a lot smaller than the monster furnaces on the 690 and thought that the exhaust pipes might be the same size.

Bad choice. The 950/990 cans have a cat in them are they are stainless steel throughout, freakin heavy. That's why everybody replaces them and gives them away for (almost) free.....

If you want a light OEM muffler you can try to find one from a 2001-2002 GSXR 1000. They are titanium and aluminum, weigh as much as an Akrapovic but with OEM quality.

The problem is that most of them have been snagged up by DR650 guys by now, so that most people know about their worth. But you might get lucky and find one somewhere cheap.
