Just found my feb issue of BMW ON magazine .In it there is an article about the Rally ,which has an article and map which is shows the 1001 twisties route to the Dragon and back . This is the same route that I was going to use to go back and forth to the rally . If you find the article my cabin is on NC208 3-4 mi past the intersection of nc212 and nc208.Which is towards Tn . the route takes you on 208 towards hot springs nc.

All are welcome to come visit even if you don't stay . One warning though . My driveway is gravel and a little steep . Personally I can ride anything including my K1200r up it no problem . If you call ahead I'll met you at the bottom and ride your bike for ya

It really is pretty smooth I grade it regular and the gravel is not deep . Just keep your momentum up and it's a piece of cake. Little girls do it so can you .

I'll be pre-running the 1001 twisties route next month. Any chance you'll be down there on April 24th? There's a Chain Gang rally over in Cruso that weekend. Bring your F'n 650 down!

The intersection of 208 and 212 is called Belva .The area up the road towrd tn nc border is called little laurel or the old maps say allenstand . I own all the way to the corner of franklin mtn road back down 208 past Briggman Hollow rd if you look at the map it's the bigest curve in the area .My dr goes straight up from the middle of the curve

If you are going to have a party for 9,000 1% might want to show up in an RV.

I'll admit to having a fifth wheel trailer delivered to a site. Split four ways it is the same as a hotel room except you can walk home from the beer garden, plus.... Air Conditioning.

The event is about 7 miles from my house. Any of YFFs that need a space to do a little wrenching outa the sun and rain are welcome to use my garage.

Hey,
How many FF's are going from the Western Region to the Rally.
My buddy and I are planning a departure from the CO front range on Sunday the 12th. We are planning a steady but not overly hurried pace out to TN. Probably stop in Dodge city the first night, then aim for something in southern Missouri, then Memphis, then into the rally by Wed or Thur.
We'll be on a new 650 GS and a '06 1200GS.

Anyone else headed that direction from the West/Southwest?
