Not bad! notice you have new hand grips too! I went on my trip this weekend gone and notice doing long K's there is slight vibration through the bar Have you noticed this on yours? Did over 600Ks probably 200ish on fast dirt rds Now I have a bald rear tyre, so good excuse to get some real tyres Getting some prices on the Dunlop 606's. My rear Dunlop Trailmax is down to the centre bar and has only done 2500Ks, 250ish dirt the rest black top!

Corey hows your 606's goin? What is the size of yours as from the web sit they dont make the 130/80-17. Also the front tyre have you had trouble with it hitting the guard as it looks like a taller tyre than the Trailmax? Any other heads up on tyre etc?
I got to ride my mates 990 KTM for a quick splat Damn that's a nice bike, But for now I'm still impressed with how the KLE went. Bring on the next trip!!!

Yeah new grips as well. I haven't noticed any vibration through the bars mate, dunno what's doin that.

I've had no drama's with the 606's, I've only clocked up a bit over a thousand k's, but they look good still, should get a few more thou out of em yet. The front doesn't hit the guard, but occaisonally a rock will get picked up and hit it, but it's not doing any harm that I can see of.
Not sure of the size mate. I'd have to have a look. But they do make them for the KLE.

Glad ya had a nice ride, I'm itching to get out for an overnighter. Last ride we done we came across a little spot on the bank of the Fanning river, looked good to flick a few lures for Sooties and sink a few ales.

Hope i've helped, if not you know how to find me

Mick,

Throw a set of bar raisers on. I put some on last week and I love em, riding is alot more relaxed.

Definetly on my list before the Cape trip! Did you get the ones that just rise or the ones that rise and tilt back abit?

Here's my list:
Pannier racks
Andy strapz panniers
Tyres D606's
Barkbusters or similar
Tools (tyre levers etc)
Airhawke seat (much need with a bum with no padding)
Crash bars
Decent footpegs
Possible springs and suspension set up

I've got 6 mnths so shouldnt be too hard on my lousy wage!!!

I think mine tilt back a little. My list of things before the Cape will be;
Panniers Racks,
DriRider soft panniers,
new set of 606's just before departure,
possible suspension upgrade

I think that's about all i need, won't go into all the small things.

I'll get my mate to make me my pannier racks and maybe a set of crash bars too.

Good one Greg , a very well set up KLE .
I'm not sure about his suspension mods though and how that works , but then again it's all a mystery to me
But the way he pushed the front fork down 10mm into the triple clamp , not sure about that either

Probably upgraded to something more expensive and time consuming to maintain...

I'm still here, just finished the headlight mod to relay the low beam on when the high beam is switched over. Much more better with the HID's warm up cycle. Had to do some roadside assist out the front for a bloke who had thrown a fanbelt off his ute. He was amazed at the light output for a bike - pretty handy for changing fanbelts in the dark.

43,000km and still going strong

Cheers
Ian

Another KLE

Hey fellas my first post might as well be in this thread as I have had my Kle for about 8 months now. Its had meeting with the pipe benders and welder in the shed and came out with a set crash bars, pannier racks and jerrycan holder, I also squeezed a 12v air pump under the seat. Put on a load of other farkles, staintune, K&N, barkbusters, heated grips, screen, footpegs. I would put up some pics but I can't seem to post pics directly to this site so might have to organise one of those smugmug accounts? Anyway next thing on the list is rear shock/spring which is to soft when fully loaded. What do you guys recon, new spring and rebuild shock or bite the bullet and replace?
