Wish I could use my Gobi's though!
If you look at first page of this thread, pic five of my modification shows how easily the KTM rack can be altered to receive any Hepco&Becker Gobi boxes (aka KTM)

Dandini

We are all more or less patiently waiting here for your pictures - nudge, nudge, wink, wink. Hope you have lots of photos of the Metal Mule luggage frame for the 690E.

Cheers.

Metal Mule luggage photos

Greetings folks ...

Time to give this thread a bump - hopefully Mr. Dandini or another OC member has photos of the completed Metal Mule racks, with and without luggage.

Since not many aftermarket companies are making luggage for the 690E I am definitely interested in seeing what MM has developed.

Cheers.

Metal MUle Luggage System

Sadly, Paul at Metal Mule injured his back so the completed production system was delayed - currently this is expected end Jan.

Gents,

I had one of these left over from my R12GS:

http://piratesk12site.net/R1200GS.htm

I cut down the plastic hand grips so I could fit a 10 CM flat socket cap screw through the rear bag horseshoe mount and through the hand grips.

Then I sandwiched the backrest between the rack and a TT mount plate. It involved threading and taping of the backrest to get it into the right position, but the rest was pretty easy.

Loren
