Staintune Exhausts
They are awesome on DR650's, the first add ons for 650's over here are usually a Staintune then a Safari 30lt fuel tank. Good power increase and sound sweet.
But for the money (about A$800) there is not enough power increase for a little 250 so not really worth the outlay. I've just got one of those 2R type end caps on my standard muffler. Sounds good and feels better, but might just be my mind playing tricks. gij screwed with this post 10-14-2009 at 06:48 PM |

I'm a fan of Staintune products. Been to the factory a few times and had a few long chats with the principal... very interesting bloke.
Anyway, the products have an excellent reputation. Had some pipes on my Triumph Trophy for over 10 years - they're still going strong for the new owner. I have an article from an Aussie bike magazine about them developing the DR-Z250 pipe & headers. It has dyno runs and they discuss how opening the airbox does not increase power, just noise. Can't remember if the article was in the series when they built up a pair bikes for the editor and Kevin Schwantz to race in the Australian Safari?? Hmmm now you got me wondering, I'm gonna have to dig out some old mags and have a read!

2006 DRZ 250 - Handguards
Hey there
I have just bought an '06 2fiddy & some Bark Buster EGOs to go on it. With the stocker levers they dont fit without hitting the braces. Any clues as to other sorst of serious hand guards (not plastic only) that will fit without replacing the levers ???? |
