here is the latest word on the fork brace thing

i looks like the xr400 brace will work
i have not personaly done this but that is what the research leads to

and on an other not the rmx forks will work aswell if you use the triple clamp
i am thinking this might be the way to go

I may be owning an 04 DRZ 250 soon. I may be adding to your list on the fork brace buy. Or if the XR400 brace works thta will be even better.

From the test I have read the forks( or atleast the soft springs) are the biggest downfall of the bikes for heavier riders(like myself). Other than that most were impressed by the bike in stock form.

But with most bikes like the DRZ XR and TTR. You usually have to open up the airbox and add a pipe and re-jet to get the most out of it.

I havn't seen any big bore kits yet for the 250 though.

You can find a pic and specs of a 2002 Djebel here. Specs are pretty much the same for all years. Also the site has pix and specs for some other years. The recent models of the Djebel have a GPS unit stock (probably an option?)

Here's mine...in Laos:

Mine crossing the Mekong..had a local balance it as boat rocked too much for me and the bike had no swimming abilities:

Well the deal fell through on the 250. But I'm going to pick up a DRZ400 tommorow evening.

So I guess I'll be on the DRZ400 thread now

I've had this one since 2001, it's a 1996 model Japanese import to the UK
