The std Kawasaki pointless ignition is pretty good.......

However, best to check it is getting the full +12v to the coils...... all the stuff is getting on a bit old by now too !!!

I just went back through the whole thread,, some great shots of some awesome projects. Got me to thinking that its time for a new project. I saw an old bike the other day sitting out in the woods by an old house, think it was a Suzuki,I never owned a Suzuki before so may be the time has come,,,

Love that kz1000 ltd Pigford, is very similar to the one i rescued and restored, mine has the two tone paint on all the plastics though so its black and dk. grey with the pinstriping done in red. I have the factory Jardine exhaust which i was lucky enough to locate, i wouldnt want to try this restoration again, KZ's are getting to be a very sought after bike in the US. Enjoy!,, JT. I learned to ride on a 1973 Honda CB350F last year.

This year, I've moved up to a 1978 Kawasaki KZ650.

Maybe in a few years I'll finally catch up with the 1980s.

Is that one Alan Millyards - made in the UK

Bit of a waste of a decent bike in my eyes - but respect for the engineering skill !
