Mmm...Heavy's. Pretty good ride there too.

Man, nearly every time you've got a ride I'm already out of town Andy! Josh and I joined him when he had his friends come to Sconyers. That's a hardcore group of long-distance riders. I remember there was one guy in his 70s who'd ridden down from Pennsylvania. To go to Sconyers. Hang out with buds. And then turn around a ride home. Wow.

Guys and gals, I am expecting about 40 of my best friends for the BBQ. The bike show would be worth the trip (if you like to see touring bikes with GPSs, extra fuel tanks, multi radio setups (CB, SAT, etc), custom seats, etc. Not to mention that the BBQ is really good!!

Saturday ride

Getting close to ride time! Who's in?

So far I know it's Thorpe and I. Jman's a solid maybe. M&MM has to work. Drinnen, Wrangler, Buelless, Andy, Beergoggled or any of the rest of y'all?

We had a little rain today - I hope it settles down the dust a little bit!

Man, I want to go bad, but my wife reminded me i gotta go to Cola to get her car worked on. Was suppose to go last w/e but the mechanic bailed. At least i get to go to cycle gear for some body armor. I know thats a lame excuse but maybe you married guys understand. Anyway, sounds like its going to be a blast! Looking forward to the pics...

Dude, trust me, I understand!! Give us a review of Cycle Gear. I've never felt like driving up there, tell me if it's worth it from a dual sport perspective/

gartra dual sport ride

"Big Mike" Klozer (XR 650) and I (KTM 640) are going to the Helen GA area on Saturday for the Gartra Fall Foilage Dual Sport Ride. I understand that the event is very well organized and can be done on bikes of all kinds. Further info at gartra.com The start is in Tiger GA near Clayton. We are going to free ride on Saturday afternoon, and do the organized ride on Sunday. Weather permitting we might even stay for a morning ride on Monday.

I'll take some pics at cycle gear, and if i figure out how, i'll post'em here with a review - especially the body armor (for those of us who may need it).
