that was one big tree. also where i had my 2nd getoff. decided to ride up the slope behind the tree and got bounced into a sapling by the roots about halfway up, lost forward progress and gravity took over. glad these guys were there to help get the bike off the slope

Wow, what a ride! That tree IS huge. Did you just slide the other bikes under?

+1 for seeing a pic of Robert's new ride. Those are some sweet looking bikes.

Srry I have been super busy since I got home yesterday afternoon....srry to hear about your tire buelless..again it was nice to meet you trippen green..I have a feeling I wont be in the front after you switch your tires...and srry about the light..it is funny you noticed it from a picture..I think I did did the same to Buelless along the 5 day ride this summer as you see below:

maybe I should get a mud flap for my bike....?

so yeah I had a great ride guys..tks for coming along..it was hot and dusty( although I cant really complain about the dust aspect)

first unintentional stop of the day....

it happened two seconds after he took the lead...I think the clear road(no dust I mean) confused him and he didnt know what to do with himself...jk..no harm no foul.

Next was a nice break at the Powelltown church, taking the morning in...

then we went down through the little ravine and trippen green decided he would fall in the mud at the top and play:
after picture,

and Ashley coming thought it:

Then onto heavy's for an early lunch 1030ish..then we headed north up to Jman's place and found him and his Dad out working in the heat..

maybe he is going to build a barn for the iron horses?

Then on back homeward where we found this monster strewn across the road:

So yes this is how we navigated, bent my mirror down a bit and here is buelless:

Then "somone" mentioned he would climb up this hill if he had knobbies and as we are taking off I see a WR going West instead of south up this hill:

It is actually steeper than it looks but he was successful after he let a little gas out of his tank..(lightening up you know)

All in all a good day guys...will do it again ..cant wait for fall and cooler weather.

it was a great time, i was very impressed with the speed and agility of that WR. if i end up getting that Husky Nuda 900 down the road i may end up trading/selling the DR to pick up a superlight play/woods bike. but for now this thing hauls me/wifey around pretty well and is giving me a hell of a workout when i ride.

Its a '93 (steel frame).

I know...its no adventure bike but, I've wanted a 2 smoke to tinker with for awhile. This one fit the bill. Non abused....hardly ridden (the tires have dates of '03 and '05 and they're still 80%+ tread-wise) I know.... they're getting replaced pronto.
It runs like a raped ape. Starts cold on the 1st or second kick. I like it just for the OMG factor. Wheelies happen just via thought.

My wife is sure now...Ive lost my friggin' mind.

Buelless I bet you wrecked your tire on the last dirt road on the way back into Appling..where the county filled all the clay mud holes with those big rocks...I know I hit some of them pretty hard
