Wicked Indianapolis AdvRiders: Check in here to find local riding buddies!

Hi Hoosiers!
I was just thinking about sneaking in a ride tomorrow morning (40 degrees, rainy) and realized that I need to branch out more and meet more local inmates. All my local friends that ride (except Dom1104) don't ride unless it is sunny and 70 degrees... I figured I would create a place for Indy Inmates to meet, and find folks equally crazy enough to ride when the weather is less than perfect..
Thanks!
Chuck

I'm not from Indy but I did go out for a short ride this morning to check out some of the flood water. The water is finally going down and some of the roads are opening back up. Still lots of ice where the water was. State Road 46 was a sheet of ice under I65 but had a ton of salt on it. I didn't go no-where near it though. It was a little cold, 17 deg.

I went out the other morning, but was freezing. I have a heated vest, but need to invest in the heated grips. I really wanted to check out the flooding near Martinsville, but wasn't man enough to handle the weather.

What type of tires do you typically run? I grew up in the country, but I'm a city boy now, so my bikes have street oriented tires on them. I'm thinking of throwing a set of more dirt oriented tires on my supermoto though...

I run Shinko 244 knobbies on my WR250X motard. Pretty awesome for a cheap tire!

Me too. I was just looking at more dirt-oriented tires for my supermoto today...

Indianapolis Area Rider checking in

Always interested in riding in the Indy area. In fact, I rode about 75 miles today trying out some new winter gear that Santa brought.

Are you riding on the street or on dirt? I'd kill to get more dirt experience, but that's hard to come by around Indy.

Rode up to Falcone this morning for an oil filter. Went up on I-65 and came back on 31. Not to bad for a winter ride.

I'm out for tomorrow (buying a mini van!). But am interested on the next warm day.
