Calkins...I've ridden with Bones and he's got a great bike with a very substantial headlight. Not sure what you are wanting to spend but I will keep my eyes out for you. One thing I'm sure you have already figured out, the KTMs and Husky's weren't 50 state street legal until just a few years ago (well it seems like it...probably 2006?) so unless you find a "project bike" it's only gonna get so cheap. I have seen the Husky 450s, which are a more agressive motor and a bit more offroad oriented, somewhat cheaper than the 610s. Otherwise, there's always the good old XR650L or a DR400. I look forward to riding with you guys this year.

I am hoping the gravel roads have melted off enough to work with knobs and no studs, will find out.

2007 was the first year for 50 state legal KTM EXC's.

Howdy from Des Moines. I see a few in inmates in here from nearby. Hope to meet some of you guys sometime.

If you see this running down I-235, you know it's me:

Hopefully it'll have less snow packed in it at the time!

OK, I just noticed your avatar. That's . . . distracting. In a good way, but distracting. Kinda makes me lose my thought of train, if you know what I mean.

The bike's a work in progress, but it's getting there. Really heavy when you try to pick it up out of the snow, but it's the only bike that makes me laugh out loud when I ride it so I have to keep riding it.

Someday when my 640 is done down at motosports, we will go for a ride.

Until then I will keep putting around on the 520.

Anyone going to Baxter's Cycle for the 2011 Triumph open house this Saturday?

Also, is the Husky dealer in Omaha gone? I was going to be there too on Saturday and wanted to look at the TEs.

A 950 w/ bags and the RTW sticker got on 235 at 50th St. when I was coming by at about 8:40 this AM and was behind me for a bit (I was in my cage). Was that you?

When were you there? My buddy and I were there around 11ish for about an hour, there went to Nishna Valley Cycle in Atlantic to look at a KTM.

I didn't get there till about 4pm or so. Stayed for the pictures and then had a hotdog.

Was heading home from Lincoln. Spent last week there.

Anyone from iowa going to ride the Missouri swinging bridges ride? I have made my intention cleaar with the wife. I've ridden street bikes in that area several times and the dual sport ride should be really fun!
