Headed to Kansas City this weekend on my Kawasaki. Needed a luggage rack for it to take our bag down with us, and also for my wife to have something behind her to rest on.

Dropped the bike off with my Dad and he built this for me last night. He does metal work in his home shop.

Don't make me stab you with a shoe!

Actually, 2009 was amazing. I was working for the local Monster Energy distributor and I called up our Monster rep...asked him if he could get me a discount on a couple of tickets.
He said he would see what he could do.
2 weeks before the race, I get a manilla envelope from the Monster Energy corporate offices. Open it up and inside is a pair of suite tickets to the Indianapolis Monster Energy distributor's personal suite, 2 full access pit passes, 2 "Guest of Monster Energy Tech 3 Racing" passes and parking passes for just behind the Pagoda.
The suite was amazing for food and booze but sucked to watch the race from since you could only see parts of turns 14/15/16 and could barely see turn 1.
The pit passes and guest passes on the other hand...well I had lunch with Rossi's crew (Including Jeremy Burgess) in the Yamaha hospitality garages, hung out with Scott Russell comparing notes on which Java Monster was the best, almost got ran over by Loris Capirossi on his scooter, got to watch FP1 and FP2 from the Tech 3 garage...yeah...I got the Monster rep a hooker and 10 ounces of blow as a way to say thanks.

2011 I volunteered on Ducati Island. 2 2 hour long shifts (1 in gear check and 1 as entry "muscle" for the Ducati Owners area) got me a Ducati Grandstand ticket for race day along with general admission for practice and qualifying. I also got a couple of free shirts, a dinner with some of the Ducati USA folks and a meet and greet with Nicky.

Next time I go back, I will most definitely do like the Turn 9 club for race day since the Turn 9 club tickets include pit passes and they have food and drinks inside the area by that set of stands.
If my wife goes, she wants VIP Village passes. Those are basically what I had in 2009.

Indy as a whole experience is pretty nice. The track isn't perfect but the venue has so much experience from hosting car races for so long that even leaving the parking lots at the end of race day is relatively painless.

I am interested in doing Austin but want to let them get a year or two under their belt before heading down there. And i am sort of put off by the kindergarten arguing back and forth with Kevin Schwantz. (Great guy btw, got to meet him at Indy in 2009 and spent about 30 minutes talking his racing years.)

Not bad but the Multistrada is a much better option for 2 up.

I know...you want to thank me for my helpful suggestion.

Very nice. You're dad could make a little extra cash on side marketing those, I bet!

You'll regret every day that you have put it off once you have one.
You might as well get it now before every rider tries one and the only bike on the road will be SUPER TENERES.

Hey I am an equal opportunity provider, I would consider the orange side! Never ridden a Ktm so I have nothing to base an opinion of one off of lol.

I have ridden a new Super Tenere and I was extremely extremely impressed with it!

Is this on Gold Camp Road? just a guess

I do ride a 990R some and it is fun------ BUT
It has a chain
Not as much of a touring bike
Not that great 2 up
No wind protection
higher maintenance
Just don't get the feeling that it will be still going strong in 200,000 miles

This is the kind of roads a real dirt bike should be on.
