[QUOTE=regg;21710399]I wasn't planning on going out today because of the forecast, but it ended up being pretty nice this afternoon, so I got to survey some of the washed out

Hey, nice seeing another 2008 DR650 on here! I drilled holes in the exhaust and put TKC80's on, other than that it's pretty much stock. Rode it all the way to Canada once, added 2 inches to my crack (because of the narrow, hard 2x4 like seat). Bullet proof bike though. Love it.

Step 3: Make sure you provide the animals with prophylactics or your ark will be overun in a matter of months.

Man, that sucks. I feel your pain though. I went to replace the rear shock on my KTM at the end of last year, and I'm still working on it!

I had it so far apart to get the rear shock replaced (I didn't know it would go out the bottom of the swing arm!) that I thought I'd fix the leaky sprocket shaft seal and rebuild the water pump. Adjusted the valves while I was in there. Did some jetting on the carb. Put it all back together and my regulator/rectifier blew - along with all my light bulbs. Replaced all of that to find my capacitor was blown too. Got that back together, drove in some mud and both of my front shocks started hemorrhaging oil. I managed to clean the seals with the ole business card trick. Oh, and I had to replace the front brake lever since the mud made my bike tired and she decided to lay down.

BUT! (knock on wood!) she's up and running now. Hopefully the front end will make it through the summer and I can rebuild those shocks this winter.

It was on a gravel road just east of Garber. I'm not sure of the road name, but I'm pretty sure the bridge I'm parked on is Cedar Creek. Are you familiar with the road?

A KTM 950 Adventure "Neked"

We finally figured out what was wrong with the engine rebuild and got the Adventure back on the road today. What an "adventure" it's been getting this thing going again.

That's actually a Diavel that Doug sold while I was there. I think he owes me commission because after seeing what we had to do to the KTM, I'm pretty sure I convinced the buyer that he wanted a Ducati as opposed to a KTM.

The buyer was a funny guy. He bought a Monster in April that had the exact same paint scheme. He decided he didn't like the riding stance, so he traded it in with something like 200 miles on it. Then, as he pulled it into the parking lot at MotoSports, he dropped the Monster breaking and bending levers and scratching up the left mirror.

Geez....l can't believe l didn't notice the intakes, l see now. I even own a miniature Diavel. :)

Say a 3% commission?

Now that you do have the 950R, are there any good rides being planned?
