Name's Michael, I'm a Texan by birth, I'm attending engineering school in South Dakota, and I'm living in Waterloo for the Summer and Fall of this year for an engineering Co-Op. I ride an XR650L.

My bike is currently down for repairs, but by the end of this week I should be back at it. I would really like to meet up and ride with some of y'all since I love to ride, and I'm new to the area!

I'm originally from Nome, Texas. :)

Thanks for the warm welcome!
It's pretty typical of what Iowa has shown me so far! Everyone has been great.
I'm working at Universal industries.
Looking forward to meeting everyone

OC isn't the only Texan transplanted to Iowa around here. I was born and raised in Liberty, TX, now living in Mount Vernon IA.

Here's a link to a weekend trip I took with a buddy a couple weeks ago. Cedar Rapids to Black River Falls, WI . (Based on the bikes, you may think the video was from 8 years ago.) The first day was thunderstorms from Prairie Douche Bag to Sparta. The second day it we were up early and rode in the state forest until noon. On the way home, Richard dug deep into his GPS for roads that mostly Amish people used, far away from the Harleys. It was two days, 585 miles. My hands are still numb.

Well seeing how there are no new post today here is a few questions. Is there a iowa photo tag? Any interest? And how many miles did you ride today? I rode 56 miles, to work and to the county fair. (I love motorcycle parking) (when I started typing there were no new post )

It's a 50/50 chance. The parts showed up, and Doug is going to work on it tomorrow. Sigh.....
