What part of the Glades was this video taken? Just curious....I may get down that way in February...and looking for something/somewhere to ride, other than Loop Road and the route to Flamingo....Well Sheet...guess I should have waited until I watched it until the end....scuddle that request for location, I've got it tracked!

Place to buy dual sport moto boots?

(I put this in the space coast thread, but then it was mentioned that this might be a better place for the Port Charlotte area.)

I'm looking for a shop that sells dual-sport boots, and has a good selection in stock. I want to go try on a bunch of pairs. I'm visiting in Port Charlotte for the next several weeks and thought I might look around. Even if it's an hour or two away. (I didn't bring my bike like I had planed, which would have been a blast)

Thanks!

Great vid on sand riding. You make it look easy!!!

I started out racing small two strokes and over the last 40 years have moved up to bigger bikes. I have a 500 Ktoom for the sand and Vee for the street and now a DR650 for the middle.

For the life of me I cannot ride sand on even the DR. I admire you guys who actually get out there on those big boys and survive. I am a wuss. BUT when Im on the Ktoom watch out!

You dont quit riding when you get old, you get old when you quit riding.
I don't always ride street bikes, but when I do I prefer VStroms

In reality, the best place to buy boots is online. There is nobody down here that carries any stock of boots as far as I know.

Sunday, the 5th we got out for a good day of riding after a full day of rain on Saturday.
It was kind of wet in places. We rode something different this time.

I can promise you would never find this area on your own!

This is good stuff! I rode it last year on the 1200 GS.

i'm pretty sure i found that area on my own one day when i was out by myself. that area that turns onto the utility road and leads back out to 41 right? thats some pretty wide open space for me to be in by myself and was a little scared

great video, i'm missing my bike big time. i'm willing to bet next year i'm on a dualsport again.

had a great ride through Picayune over new years...camped at monument lake and spent the 31st riding through the east side...found some great trails and the 800 yr old cypress (so the story goes) you could fit 4 people up in the hole...big tree.

new years day breakfast

Nice vid Kyle B. I have a GSA 1200 and was thinking about doing some camping at Long Pine in the glades. After watching your vid it looks as if there is some fun opportunities to be had with trail riding. So are those trails covered in water at certain time of the year like summer(wet season)? Im assuming that the best time to camp and ride there is between November till the end of April?
