Picked up yesterday!

Finally after 11 months of waiting, I picked up mine yesterday.

I know you guys are going to hate me, but I had to wait only about 11 days before I picked mine up this past Saturday. The guy who originally ordered it backed out at the last minute (citing economic troubles ...sad for him), the salesman thought of me and gave me a call ...glad for me.

No photos yet (can't find the digital camera) but it looks like every other gray one out there.

This may be out of place here but I'll ask anyway. I noticed a canister looking thing last night which I don't see on that grey Canadian bike above. I did not look closely @ my bike to investigate but does anyone know what it is? It's location is on the right side just forward of the rear shock preload adjustment & is secured with 2 zipties to the frame. That more than anything is why I noticed it. Zipties as a factory fastner!?

F 650 GS Pics

I just got my motorcycle license this year and decided to buy the '08 F 650 GS as my first bike..

This summer I rode it from Toronto to Inuvik (Dempster Highway) via Colorado. The trip lasted six weeks and I put about 21,000 km's on the bike.. (it's got just under 25,000 now)

I have loads of pics but I will try to select a few of my favorites and get them up soon.

Almost there... the Arctic Circle felt like a bit of a milestone... but still a lot to go...
