Nice... I'm thinking about something like this or even wilder. I really like my yellow plastics on the front but the rear could do with something different...

I was thinking of doing it in a matte Sahara-tan and mil-brown pattern (using a mess cloth as my stencil; may have to do a "test" on some cardboard to see what it'll look like)...the gloss on this bike is getting to me...

Lots of this!
went for a ride Sunday with my new riding buddy Jason. He has only been riding off-road for a few months. He's a natural...I hate that. Just as we got to the trail head something went in my F800's front end (Bitubo cartridge...). It also started to rain cats and dogs with lightning to boot. I turned tail for home on my clanking bike and Chris soldiered on alone. When I asked how the ride was he sent me this pic and replied
"This is what you missed.... And you missed a lot of it...."

Supersprox Stealth, but he is using a KTM 950/990 rear sprocket in order to fit the billet RAD hub. I don't think they make one for the BMW. An even better choice would be a Dirt Tricks Ironman sprocket, very light weight and they last and last and last... If we get a group buy together they might make one for us?

Yep, although I was southbound (turned around for the pic). Spent the night previous camping at Mogo Creek and the day of this photo making my way along the Hawkesbury River, sticking to the north bank until Kurrajong and then crossing the mountains on Bells Line. Rounded up a few other bikes on Bells Line too, very surprising. I'm normally quite slow.

I bought this '09 last month with just under 6k miles. In the last month BMW has had to replace the valve cover gasket, fuel pump, and injectors. I'm hoping the bike just wanted to get all its problems done with in the begining.
![]() Just need to add some real rubber and then I can hit some real trails. ![]()
