Ah man.... NOW you tell me!

Nah, it does come with the heavy duty BMW skid plate but I wanted the Altrider plate so the dealer was good enough to give me credit for it towards the purchase of some other stuff. They removed it before I took delivery and I installed the Altrider plate as soon as I got home.

After many pics and ride reports on my F800GS through Chile (and Argentina) we moved to Panama and here I got a dirt bike (2010 RMZ250) and a truck to haul it with. This allowed me to replace my second F800GS with an R1200GS.

I got a 2007 R1200GS with 8,000 km and a bunch of farkles:

And a pic up on one of the few hills in Panama overlooking the Pacific (or South Sea, how it's called here):

I always thought and still do that if I could only have one bike (like it was in Chile) it would be an F800GS. It was the best all-around bike I ever had and it sustained quite some abuse always performing.

I'm off to the oilhead forum but will keep coming back to drool over the pics

Picked this one up today. Only 60 miles so far, certainly a big change from the KLR. In a good way.

Last ride before the snow??

Glad MOD Dave gave me a shout on tuesday for a last minute ride. Could very well be the last one before the snow falls.

I'm glad the snow happened to south and NOT up here, I think I'd cry.

I don't want to think about snowboarding yet.

Laugh HU 2012 Motorcycle Travellers Wall Calendar!

YES! we won!
Three of our photos were selected as winners for the Horizons Unlimited 2012 Motorcycle Travellers Wall Calendar!
Naomi's photo won 2nd prize (November) and two of my photos also made it to the calendar too! (March and September)

Looking for a Xmas present? BUY a copy! or many check out the calendar here: http://www.cafepress.com/horizonsmc/1022875

Too bad the photo below didn't make it ... maybe if my lens hadn't fogged-up at the very moment I took the photo (sub-freezing temperatures) and the photo had turned out much more crisp and clear. But can't complain with 3 photo winners eh?

The morning after camping on the side of the road due to a 'sneak attack' of heavy snow fall Southern Andes, Peru

Cheers!

Alberto.
