Totally!
She thinks so too, and likes the yellow/red bike.

This is exactly what I will do with my son someday. He's only 15 months old now, so it's going to take a while, but definitely it's on my list.
Thanks for sharing.

Wicked These are for those interested in Brasil (Hey Lost Rider!)

On the road again during Carnival Holiday. Yeah, I know, I have to get off of the tarmac at some point... I will for sure!

But, as for the pictures here, this was like a "cultural" trip. We went to visit the Inhotim Museum (google it, it's very nice) and rode 3.500 km in total. The road had some very scenic places:

The museum itself is inside a farm with lots of landscape work and contemporary art and architecture:

Hope this could start a "teasing game" about convince some of you guys to take a long haul towards the beautiful Brasil...

Well, you can go trough Europe, crossing Africa and take a boat from Angola to Northeast Brasil... At this point, on your arrival, you would be about 40 km from my house. From here it's a matter of looking the map and choose where you want to go.

Anyways, this gonna sound biased, but you can go trough wherever and will be pleased to visit my country. Or you can jump on an airplane and we can find a bike for you. How about that?

Perfect! I'll take a 125cc Chinese special!
honestly... that's my next trip.... South America and a local bike.... when done... ditch the bike and fly home.
I HATED shipping my bike... such a pain in the ass! and expensive!

Awesome! That museum/garden is spectacular, I would love to explore it.
Thanks for sharing, keep up with your master plan! I like the teasing.

What's wrong with Mexico? It's central America and all the border crossings I wouldn't want to deal with. I'm totally down with getting a small cheap bike that's disposable locally though, great idea. I'd imagine you could get a simple RTW worthy bike for less than it costs to ship a big bike. You know better than I.

I love the map holder, great idea! How does that orange bag workout? does it get burned on the pipe?

Ok, ok. This could be very interesting!! Two of my greatest inspirations in this forum considering showing up here?

So, you guys just can put me and my knowledge about Brasil, Argentina, Chile and Uruguai in your plans because I would be available to help you out and (if I may) be part of this trip.

No need for the teasing to get me wanting to travel down there either. At some point in the future, I'd very much like to do a SA tour. I'd probably ship to Ecuador and ride down to Tierra Del Fuego and back up to Brazil then ship home. Not planning on skipping central america all together though, I'd likely do the trip to Panama and back seperatly. Splitting it into two adventures would make the time more managable.

This will likely be well into the future once I retire. Not all that far away, but still a few years off. Looking at trying Baja in the next year or two.

Yeah, the map holder, I just got tired of dismounting each time to look at the map. The side bags sit on the outside of the passenger pegs and have straps around them to sort of keep them in place. I made them out of a pair of chainsaw chaps so they are kevlar lined and originally I was going to carry fuel bladders in them but I haven't done that yet
Just spare tubes, drinking water or other crap I think I can't do without
