I did a similar thing with white reflective tape, but mostly from the back and not on the sides. Maybe it makes the bike less hardcore looking or whatever, but the last thing I need to think about on a long ride is cars not noticing me. Motos are already difficult to see for motorists so anything else to make the ride safe is a good thing. For my aesthetic poser riding where I care about looks I go ride my other motos, the F8 is a functional bike not a beauty queen
