Nice!

You need some riding pants and jacket though (and boots too) !! ATGATT!

The weather here has been amazing too! Summer like so it was time to duck out and camp out!

Up to 20*C during the day...down to 3*C this night here.

It's back to "normal" weather now.

If anyone has 2 minutes and is happy to share a photo or two of their pride and joy, please could they go to http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UploadWizard and upload photos of these two models to be included in the photo gallery? They should be sharp, high quality, clear front/rear three-quarter or side view shots.

Please PM or reply with the filename so I can add it to the gallery.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers Amaury, I have been trying to get a gallery up to show the variances among the parallel twin models but let's just say this has not been met with open arms by some of the regulars who don't seem to appreciate a newcomer trying to improve the rather sparse page. I started a gallery which was taken down within an hour by the Wikipedia gestapo. I'm currently in 'negotiations' with the motorcycle group to agree a gallery so hopefully we get some new pics up soon - many thanks for taking the time to upload some of yours.

I also tried adding a colour chart for easy identification of colour by year/model but this is apparently 'not encyclopaedic' and 'not noteworthy' and was also quickly removed.

So far I've only been successful in adding a section on special edition models and a bit about the F700, as well as making the specifications more complete.

No wonder so many Wikipedia pages about motorbikes suck balls when any changes are met with such rigidness and resistance. I'm quickly learning it's just not worth the fight (or my own time!), which is sad, really, since this inhibits progress and innovation.

Wikipedia belongs to everyone and everyone has the right to improve pages? What a utopian thought!

That's really sad to see how difficult it is to share an article on Wikipedia, I did not know it was supervised like that.

I've seen your few lines about the F700, that was a great beginning and I'm hoping you will be able to finish the whole 2013 GS part soon.

Keep us in touch, and if ever you need, I would be glad to help!

Any reason we can't start our own wiki? I've seen many of those for other products, bikes and tv shows. Could put a lot more detail into it. Thanks for trying!
