Lol, forgive me but after looking at the pics of the models this really looks like a model. Maybe because it is kinda fuzzy and there are no tire tracks and little perspective. Awesome!! |

Hi, Dan! I'm Jon. I recently bought an (lightly crashed) R1100RS from Bob Ohman here in Denver, and even before actually riding it, found ADV through another forum I belong to, and have been bitten by the GS bug pretty hard. Here's where the world gets small. I read your trip report on Thursday night. Went dancing (at the Highlands Masonic Lodge) on Friday night in Denver. My sweetie and I had dinner after the dance (yeah, yeah, dinner at midnight, sue us), with a friend of ours... And we suggested that, since The Wench and I both have motorcycles now, and *another* friend of ours does, as well, that he otta, too, so he could join us. He said that...let me call her "H"...would never let him, H's friend's (who is also a Massage Therapist) wife was telling her the story of how her husband was just out of the hospital after almost dying in a crash on a motorcycle tour...and how it was so bad, they had to fly him out by helicopter, then in a learjet... I had to ask... "From...Alaska, perhaps?" Yeah. We were having dinner with Mr. Mahoney. I hope you get back on your dancin' feet again soon. I look foward to meeting you face to face. =) Went to BMW of Denver today to get a battery for the R1100RS - I think I got hooked on the F650GS. It's low enough for both Clarsa and I, what with our miniscule 29" and 30" inseams... =) jonathonbarton screwed with this post 09-12-2009 at 07:31 PM |

I took a little three-day spin around central Oregon this weekend, and managed to hit the John Day Fossil Beds at sunset yesterday.
