You rode alone? What happened to all your NY buddies? I figured you were all set with having a partner or 2 with all those guys around. I should have braved the heat and just went to ride with you as my weekend at Strawberry Park sucked big sweating monkey nuts. That place is shit. Between the trailer trash and the ghetto trash we couldn't get out of there fast enough Sunday morning.

Started with two guys but got separated on the first hill on Saturday,than Sunday I just went alone

I remembered you saying that and sure enough there were about 100 riders littering the hill
And I did what you did,went back few hundred yards and found an old trail and in less than 10 minutes I was ahead of lots of people by atleast one hour or more

great fun in both groups (i have personally enjoyed riding with both "crews") and I think for the most part we all consider ourselves as one big pachaug riding community - (maybe even family?) but you might get more traction with the BBDOR crew

I think I know what you wanted to say. Ed and I houred out at last year's and that was supposedly a pansy ride compared to this year's. You told me last year before I went it was supposed to be one of the toughest enduro's in the NE. I didn't tell Ed that until after we finished.

I have no delusions that I'll finish this time but it should be fun trying. As long as Rusty is there to pull me up all the hills I should fine.

"After the mud settled on Sunday, August 5th, 2007,
only 8 men remained standing, following 70+ miles
of mud, roots, rocks and hills; the rest were left to
head home with their tail between their legs,
whimpering and crying. The following year, BTR felt
sorry for the event participants from the previous
year and offered condolences at sign-up by
handing out crying towels in preparation for their
2008 endeavor. When the mud settled this time,
only 7 riders didn’t need them… Well, a few years
have passed, trying to cater to the wimpy, ill-willed,
un-skilled, and just plain weak. Fortunately,
(unfortunately for some) BTR has once again
stepped back to their roots for 2012 by presenting
riders with, Hell in the Hills Part II. But, as always, if
you are of minimal skill set, lack intestinal fortitude,
would rather ride in circles for 30 minutes on a
groomed/manicured golf course, or, are just plain
scared… Stay home and catch up on your knitting.
We’re sure it’ll be another long winter!"
