Too bad. That trials tire was probably the only reason us slower guys were able to hang with you. I just watched my uncut videos of last years Hoot's and you got hung up quite a few times in the rutted muddy sections, revving the piss out of the bike and going nowhere.

I also remember following you, sledstorm and sparrow and being totally exhausted after just the first section trying to keep up with you guys: coming from mostly Pachaug rides, all the rutted mud and wet loamy single-track was new a new experience for me. I was gripping the bars so tight I literally couldn't feel my hands for most of that section. I have video where Redbeard comes off that section and says "Fuck this!" I had to agree but we stuck with it. Good times.

I am considering doing the concrete event tomorrow but I do not have a route sheet holder... how important is it for the turkey runs or dual sport events?

You fella's didn't miss much. 44 total miles unless you went back out to do the 1st section again. There was more street than down at Pachaug. The one good thing was the conditions were just about perfect. Dry where you needed it to be and not much mud or water anywhere but there was some.

You missed a good day at the Milford Riders Club, I did the enduro school there. The classroom portion was what you'ld expect, about 90 minutes of going over the basics, then we suited up. Key time for the riding portion was 11:30 and we rode their 7 mile loop three times. There was no road, there was no break. It was very rocky. My arms were sore half way through the first lap. By lap 2, I was warmed up. Nothing as bad as Baby Head Hill, but it was constant. There were guys in various spots doing checks and resets and making sure you understood if you were on time or not. All in all, a great day. Props to the members for volunteering their time. Bravo.

Milford Riders is an MX track in Milford. You must mean Meriden Motorcycle Club.
