Roll Call for Sunday?

p.s. I have a new etrex legend HCX that is smarter than me. Try as I might, I can't create a route based on the gpx file. Matter of fact I can't even get a route of four waypoints to it from mapsource.

My participation on Sunday will depend on how far I get in fixing up the husaberg tomorrow.. it is still in the trailer from sommers.. I know it needs new handguards for sure... hopefully the handlebar isnt bent... plus I need to figure out what is causing the short in the electrical system. go2navy.. you will have a better time with the other guys w/o me anyway.. I would definitely be the anchor on the group.

I have the eTrex Legend (color) too. Nice tough little unit. It's only negative is that the screen to a bit too small to navigate by when you're riding. You have to stop and take a close look. Mine came off the bars when I was doing 50 on the slab. It got a bit scuffed up, but still works perfectly.

It's not as powerful as the 450/500 class bikes, but for trails, do you really need it? Skip to 1:30

akarob isn't the only one who rides in short sleevs! Cool video and bike.

I have to got out to the garage and fix my forks. I was goofing around in the yard and dumped it. Now they're all twisted up. I don't know about these risers. I will bring tools in case I need to yank them off. See you guys in the morning.

Greg was watching, he got a good laugh.

On a side note, I changed out the 990 tires today.

I got the rear mounted and the tire wouldn't hold air. I thought I had pinched the tube, but I was really wrong. See below.

Before / after - the rear was war too far down in the center. It was really thin and weak, I won't wait so long in the future. It's not worth getting stranded or worse.

The brand new tube just split when I inflated it. I ended up just reusing the old tube. So much for trying to save some money on tubes too. I'm only going with Pirelli or Michelin from now on.

Again, this was a brand new Bikemaster tube when I installed it today.
