Your bike is biased towards enduro from the factory. For MX you will need to make it stiffer. Try the following

Forks MX
Comp 4 clicks out
Rebound 8 out
Shock
95mm sag
HS comp 3/4 turn out
L/S comp 8 out
Rebound 10 out

Enduro
Forks
Comp 14 out
Rebound 10 out
Shock
100mm sag
H/S comp 1 1/2 turns out
L/S comp 14 out
Rebound 12 out.

All adjusters are set by winding in until they stop and counting out.

They forks have inherent problems and will never be perfect until they're seen to, but this should allow you to have a reasonable time at both disciplines.

What did you think of your last run through pachaug?....Did you want to twist it harder/faster or take it down a notch?

Sorry, Mr. Newton - we were there all weekend but i was unplugged, de-phoned and living my Luddite fantasy.
we would have benefited from a tour guide for sure but there's so much good riding out there that even us blind squirrels found some great trails...

... a little damp Sunday morn but once we were in the eye of the low-pressure system, the sun was shinning, the angels began to sing and the little red arrows appeared at every turn...

site #10 - no Ranger, last day of the season. great campground by the way, we'll be back.

Turns out it wasnt even broken, I had put it back in right the first time, I had just forgotten how stiff the OEM clutch was. I called the dealer and he reminded me of that fact.. I guess I get used to just pulling the clutch lever in on the BMW and pushing it around like it is in neutral.. forgetting that it is a dry clutch/shaft drive and easier to push around while still in gear. I started the bike, let it warm up popped into first and rode away. I had forgotten that getting into first on this bike was always an experience.
