I've been day-dreaming about camping and riding the loop. I can't help it. The "Rock Ride" is coming up on 5/12, I look forward to pre-running it about a dozen times. The campground doesn't open until 4/19, but I'm sure we can find somewhere to get our camp on until then.

I'll start my first CnR thread after February. The Pre-season campout will likely be by invite only. I'm not sure exactly where or when, but I'm not waiting until April - no way.

Picture of inspiration...

Ya know, the worst part of the rain is the visibility. Goggles fog up and you have to go unprotected.

I heard that if you take an old pair of goggles and replace the clear lens with steel window screen, you can see but they'll never fog. You use hot glue or silicone to glue it around the edges. A bit of water does comes through, but it's bearable though. I'm going to try it. The dust in the heat of the summer is the worst, rain riding is fine by me.

That makes sense. I would hate to get a stick to the eye. The rain in the eyes didn't bother me much either.

Man Claudio is really taking a bath.

Do the goggles with fans work to remove fogged lens in the rain?

I tried a pair and it sounded like a loud high pitch buzzing the whole time. It was unbearable.

I have a pair of scott goggles that I found with the anti fog unit in the goggles. It has a three way switch that you can set - on-off-auto / I dont mind the noise but they block my vision some. They do work very well. I ski with them just never felt comfortable riding with them.

That is a great pic! I remeber sitting home that day getting the yard ready for that storm thinking WTF are these guys doing, but you made history!
