Believe it or not, in 95% of the cases, they just let the break heal itself - even if its in multiple pieces. The only reason I'm getting opened up is because the bone is into the muscle and that would make for a very poor heal. Thats what they did with mine, I think I was riding my mtb bike after 4 weeks. A plus is I can wipe lefty

In NY mc insurance does not cover injuries sustained by the insured. It only covers injuries caused to others.

My ex BIL has a real fucked up collarbone from a street bike crash. They didn't fix it and let it heal like it was and it looks real freakish! Be glad your gettin it fixed!
