+1 There's nothing that indicates the loop is seasonal at all. You can ride it whenever you want.

The trails are pretty stable, there's very little mud. The big puddles stay wet and deep, the rocks stay rocky. The weather sure is nice right now. If I was able, I'd be out there today.

when my daughter was doing her senior project, we rode their almost every weekend during the winter and spring and were never told not too. we talked to rangers several times, who thought it was pretty cool that she got her motorcycle license as part of a high school project .

Next Sunday Spaulding Rd. take off at 10:30 cool? The only way I'll back out is if it rains hard a day or two before but I think we should be okay.

Be aware of trees pulled down over the trails from the heavy snow we got last month when you head out there for the first ride of the season.
I almost loaded the bike up for a ride on the Pachaug loop yesterday, but decided to go and walk parts of it, instead.

On the section of trail that's the last part of the southern loop - the trail that goes over the wooden bridge, through a dirt parking area, out onto Kinne Road where you take a right, ride the road for about 500 feet, and take another right back into the woods - has a tree down over the trail at about shoulder level on one of the faster sections where you can jam through the whoops.
A chain saw will probably be needed to remove it.

It's at approx. the 1:00 mark in this video.

A little ride report. We all finished. Ecrane and Darius schooled us, even though I think this was the first time for Darius in the sand. Not sure of finishing positions. Terrain was typical NJ. Tight (imagine the tightest Pachaug section, take out the rocks, move the trees closer together and go on for miles and miles) some more open terrain, and some FAST sand roads with whoops and water holes. I was going as fast as I wanted on the 310 and guys were going by me! Me and Ed and Kreech were wasted by the end. Ecrane and Darius looked like they were ready for more. Friggin' young kids.

Darius is a chubby out of shape guy and Ed usually hates long rides.

They must of been on drugs. :^)

Might have, but their scoring is old school and takes awhile so we didn't stick around. It should be posted on the ECEA website in...I don't know how long. Probably this week.
