I just changed the oil, rear brake pads, and bled the line - just in case things get crazy on Sunday.

I'm just really amazed on how great that bike's been, other than the electric start that is. But all in all, that bike really runs awesome and I couldn't be happier with it. So glad I got a new KTM. The RFS 400exc I had was just about as awesome though.

I hope I didn't post this one here yet. This picture shows my new ATV handlebars well, Raptor bend. I love it. I'm getting another set for my 990.

Did you get the starter issue fixed?
Have you tightened the torque converter and made sure the auto decompression is installed correctly? Each were issues with the '08 and caused the electric starter to not work.

I did fix the torque limiter. It does crank over now, just not very strongly. It starts ok when it's warm but I think a new battery would make it better. I'll look into the decompression and check that, I haven't heard that one. More often than not, it starts on the first or second kick when I have to do that.

WTF is torque converter? I still got my buddy's 525EXC and even with new battery it does not crank more than once... I hate kicking it!

It's a "tourque limiter" It's there to prevent damage due to kick-back. It's basically a mini clutch. Some are set too loose and slips when you try to start the bike. It can easily be removed and tightened and that fixes the problem.

Here's a how-to. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=667644

I absolutely hate to kick. My trials bike is a major PITA to start especially with the retarded LEFT SIDE KICKER!

640 is a left side kick but it starts every time on the battery, 525 is right side but never starts... guy who owns the bike is used to kicking it and gets it on first or second kick but I can't get the technique down, been busting my shins for few month now.

Thumpertalk.com has a few members over there that started a thread or two = good reading.
I guess they use a Chinese Honda engine and have been pretty good.
