Looks like Wed or Thursday ride for me now. Might not even be Pachaug. Sorry about the false alarm.

Ok, I'm locking in a time and a place. Thursday at 10:00 am, a friend and I will be leaving from the NETRA lot (end of Dow Rd.) to do the loop. We both know the loop well.

Anyone is invited to join us. Just be there early because there's no way we're waiting past 10 am. I should be there by 9:30 to "warm up".

Anyway, the forecast is 60 degrees and sunny so don't be the one that posts on Friday "I should have been there".

Anyone else in?

I'd be up for a weekend loop too. Pick a day.

We have a pretty good pace, not racing. Not a big deal if you don't keep up all the time. I consider myself a hack but I'm getting to be a decent hack anyway. We will probably skip the roughest hero section as well as the Green Falls water crossing. It still takes us 3 to 4 hours to do the loop.

ok, i am a maybe, don't wait up :-)

ok. i rode there 2 weeks ago and felt bad for the guy I was with. not because he had to wait for me, but for the fact that i got a flat, and he had to go back and get his truck. and its his only day off during the week...

anyway, work is a big question mark right now. so don't wait for me. if i am there at 10, i will try to keep up, if not, i may try it on my own again.

Guys, Ct shotgun/rifle deer season opened today, 11/18. Most of Pachaug is open to hunting. Not saying you should change plans, but I stay away during hunting season, mainly because I hunt during this period! We can ride Pachaug year round, the deer season is only 11/18-12/8 and no Sunday hunting.

HeyDoc, are you saying that there is no hunting on Sundays in Pachaug during the season? If that's case Sunday might be a better day to go for this weekend.

Or if we want a real adventure we could go on Saturday and I'll wear my tan jacket and helmet with antlers on it...the way I bounce off the rocks I bet I'd look just like a deer.

Yea, no hunting on Sundays. I think I'll risk it tomorrow. I may wear my blaze orange vest though. There will probably be some hunters out there but it's a big forest.

There's no way I'd ride through there this Saturday, thanks for the heads up.

On a side note, I'm always amazed how many deer I see on the bike. I'd think that they would hear me coming and move away but I seem to surprise them all the time. If they are 50 feet away when I go by they probably don't even flinch.

In this case I`d ride everyday if I could . Nothing I hate more than killing creatures
